There is still a good selection of water front cottages and homes available on many of the inland lakes in northeast Michigan. There are cottages, homes and vacant lots available on Lost Lake, Lake Emma, Lake May, Lake Nettie, Barnhart Lake, Long Lake, Black Lake, Grand Lake and Lake Avalon. Lake Nettie, Lake May, Grand Lake, Long Lake and Black Lake are all sports lakes. For swimming both Lost Lake, Lake May, Black Lake and Lake Avalon have sandy frontages, but Grand Lake, Long Lake are also good swimming. For fishing, Barnhart Lake is excellent and Lake Emma, Grand Lake, Long Lake and Lake Nettie are good fishing. All of the fishing lakes, in the Hawks area have the Ocqueoc River running through them. If you prefer a larger lake you have your choice of Grand Lake, Long Lake, Lake Avalon or Black Lake. If you prefer Lake Huron, there is also a variety of properties for sale with frontage or acess.
